Playing around with some shot glasses we got on a cruise a few years back.

I picked some flowers from a tree on my way home in case I didn't have any creative juices flowing , lucky thing I did. I wasn't in the mood for photography today but somehow had no problem playing around in photoshop. I added several textures and used a vintage action to get this look.

Day 118

I started out wanting to do a close up of a dandelion but wasn't so impressed with it. I went out to the yard and picked the different phases of the growth or death of the daffodil and arraigned them for this photograph. It was still a little plain so I did what I always do and added some texture to it to finish it off.

While walking around Westport, I came upon these stairs and thought they'd make a good subject for my project.

I'm puppy sitting again, I thought I'll do another portrait of Dude.

I know another shoe and flower shot? Yes, my plan for this project was to work with textures and I'm still learning a lot . I added some vintage actions and a couple of textures to get this look.

Another one of my daughter's shoes. This time I placed it in one of my trees in my backyard.

I saw a book at B/N that was entirely shoes made out of flowers. That gave me the idea to photograph flowers IN shoes. My daughter must have over 100 pair of shoes of which at least 1/4 of them are high heels, so I will have lots to choose from.
I was in a hurry to get this done so I chose to do the bokeh and shoe in separate frames and then combine them. I see now I didn't do a great job of blending but that's life, I still really like the overall effect.

A simple daffodil I found while walking around Westport.

I had this golden glittery pillow and had this idea to put it behind the chrysanthemum and set my 500mm lens to f/4 to get some pretty bokeh in the background. It was a little harder than I thought to accomplish, because the pillow was too small. This is the result.

I went to the photography exhibit at the Wilton Library today, outside were these tables and chairs set up. I took a few photos of the empty chairs, then thought it would be so much more interesting if I had someone sitting in them. Just as I was about the leave a car pulled up and these 2 cute kids jumped out..... wearing red!
I told them I was doing a project where I had to do a photo a day, and the girl said , that's great I do lots of 365's in writing. I asked if they would sit in the chairs for me , the dropped their backpacks out of the frame and sat down for me. Are they cute or what?

With all the beautiful flowers blooming, I chose Dandelions, I'm not sure why.

As I was driving to lunch today, this scene in someone's yard just jumped out at me. I took a U turn and pulled over on the side of the road. Something about the dark tree trunks and pink flowers on the pink magnolia tree was appealing. Of course now that the world by me is becoming green again sure helped.

Yay! Another milestone 100 days completed ! I went to a photography meetup today and asked the model to jump for me for today's photo.

I received alot of flowers yesterday for Easter. Some of them got bent while being transported. I don't like to waste things. So I thought, this Gerber Daisy was deserving of at least a photograph before discarding it.

Today (Actually yesterday, I forgot to post this) Kathryn and I drove up to Mystic Seaport to see my niece Patty. She is on her middle school big trip to the east coast. She lives in CA. We had a wonderful time with her and spent 3 hours walking around Mystic Seaport. In one of the shops there was this weird scene setup in the basement of this crazy bunny.
