Day 181
While going to check out whether my landlord was moved out of the house I am moving into tomorrow we ran across these kids selling lemonade and Oreo cookies. We stopped to get some lemonade and asked to photograph them. They said they were dressed as Barbies, but the 2 on the outside were wearing Mario and Luigi hats, the one in the middle a princess hat. As we were leaving I asked if they were all sisters. The dad said,... No..... the one in the middle is the brother ! Oh my ! I told them they were very silly and adorable. Great marketing strategy :-)

Day 177
I drove down to Long Island to see my Great Niece perform in her yearly dance recital. Marisa is a wonderful little dancer and I love going to see her every year. Even though it took me 3 hours to drive there :-(. This photo was taken after the performance , there's no photography allowed during the recital. Every other year I was able to sneak my camera in . This year they were very strict about enforcing that rule.

One more late post due to no internet. This is a statue I bought in Kenya. It was made by a local artist, his interpretation of a Masai Ceremonial Dance.

Day 174
Another full day of packing and air conditioner only working in parts of the house. Got an estimate of $1500.00 just to fix one of the units, lovely...... 7 days left and I have this huge expense..... ugh ! Anyway I put this silk plant in my lightbox and added some texture by kimklassen to spice it up a bit.
Day 173
Almost midnight again ! Don't know what I am going to photograph when I'm all packed up for my move.

Day 171
After a full day of shopping, and actually buying living room and dining room sets I feel a lot less stressed about this move.
When we got home my daughter Kathryn baked some chocolate chip cookies ! I photographed this in my home made lightbox and added a KimKlassen texture.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there.

Day 170
Busy day, shopping for sofas and tv and found nothing I wanted. So I picked up Dude and brought him to the dog park. As usual he was a muddy mess by the time we left. I gave him a quick bath. While cleaning myself after he shook the water all over me I noticed the shadows on the shower wall. I added 3 additional textures to it.

Day 165
On my way out to another awards dinner tonight with the Norwalk Camera Club a bunch of Iris's caught my eye near my driveway. Knowing I wouldn't have time to take photos tonight I shot off a few frames and am happy with this one in square format.
What a crazy year I was awarded "Photographer of the Year" in this club too ! Maybe I should quit while I am ahead.

Day 163
Today is Dude's 1st Birthday !!! My daughter, Kristi gave me this treat to give him at midnight. The first of the diptych is of him waiting for the treat I was holding. The second is of him sitting in the foyer enjoying it, and trying to get away from me!

Day 162
Had to run to the mall tonight, and once again, no photo today, ugh!!!!! i shot the first in the series inside the mall. The second shot was just a pattern I saw on a wall. The third was a few rows of shopping carts and the fourth some elements outside the mall. It wasn't until I got home that I realized everything that caught my eye was a combination of reds and yellow or golds. None of them made that much of an impression on me until I realized I should make a tetraptych !

Day 161
I stopped by the house that I am going to be moving into on July 1st. While I was inside meeting with my new landlord a storm passed over. As I was leaving I saw this great sky and grabbed a few shots. BTW my landlord is really chill, just my style, we're going to get along just fine.

Tonight was the Awards Dinner for the Stamford Camera Club. I didn't bring my flash so had to use what light was available.
I had the honor of receiving the "Photographer of the Year Award" !!!!!!!!
The first shot of this diptych is of Mike Harris showing one of his many awards received tonight, this one being "best black and white photo of the year". The second shot is of the pot my meatballs were in with friends in the background laughing at me because I was desperately trying to get a shot for tonight. :-)

Day 159
Another late night getting my photo done.
At dinner with my friend Sandy I noticed the lights from the blinds on the empty wall.
I got up and took a few shots thinking I would have to figure out a way to use them later. On my way home I stopped in Westport and found this wonderful store with several window displays of wild horses. I took a few shots and was hoping to mix the two photos together when I got home. This is what I came up with.
Day 158
My meeting was over at 11pm and I realized I hadn't done my photo yet. On my drive home I passed a few stores and decided to try some zooming and panning. I added 2 photos together here, one of a zoom and one of a pan to add another dimension. I like the combination of colors.

Day 151
Still a drizzling overcast day and night. We went down onto the beach for this shot. Lots of blue, not exactly sure why. I am having problems posting to my blog. I think I have missed a few days, will have to fix it all when I get back from my workshop in Oregon. Check out my Flickr stream for all 365 photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/bettywisse/
