Day 90
My first attempt at doing a smoke photo. I was hoping to get something I could copy and flip to make a mask/face.

Day 89
Second day of torrential rains. This was taken right outside my front door, the stream is over flowing and I noticed the ripples as I was pulling into my driveway.

Day 88
The original photo is one of a green key on a white background. I added the hearts as an overlay, then 2 other textures on top of that.
I bought a box of keys from Pottery Barn yesterday to use as props. They are all a little different from each other.

Day 87
I didn't have much time to do my photography today, but found this bowl of shells in the ladies room at Pottery Barn. Have to take the shot when I can.

Day 81
I got these salt and pepper shakers last year while visiting my sister in Ithaca NY. I love the colors and design. Scattered some peppercorns to add some interest.

Day 78
Oops I forgot to upload my photo yesterday ! Here's a tulip that was starting to die, I thought it would be interesting to see the inside for a change. I added a texture. This is actually 2 photos , the first one is the tulip in a smaller size with a blue background , the 2nd is a tulip zoomed in on with a white bacground. The larger one had been set to a lower opacity.

Day 77
I have been very busy puppy sitting Lil Dude for the past couple of days. Not much time to make any photographs, other than one of Dude. I added some texture and some bones.

Day 76
I just love serendipity. I was cleaning out the refrigerator in the garage because when the power went out I didn't realize the generator didn't power up that refrigerator and everything had to be thrown away. At the same time I was thinking of looking around the house for green things to photograph for St Patrick's Day.
I brought three of these beer bottles, (which to be honest I've never heard of this brand, must belong to my kids) into my kitchen. I set on on the counter and noticed the light coming through one of the bottles from the skylight. I got a white foam board and placed the bottle on top and snapped away. I figured when you see some cool light, you might just as well take advantage of it. Photo taken, got some use out of a bottle of beer I was about to discard and my day is off to a good start.

Day 73
Some items from my bathroom, set up in my lightbox. Still without power in Fairfield. Lucky for me I have a generator giving me power in parts of my house.

Day 72
What a day ! There's 40 mph winds and I thought it was a good idea to go out. I saw at least 6 trees that fell and I didn't have my camera. I went home to get it to get a shot of one of the trees (pictured here as the main photo.)
I stopped to get some cool lights through my windshield of this town truck, which was taping off areas where trees and branches fell.
As I was photographing I heard a loud bang, looked from behind my camera to see my windshield completely smashed with glass scattered inside my car. I couldn't believe my eyes.. a branch just fell into my windshield. So why not go all the way and get out of the car and photograph the car with the branch that hit it.
Interesting little collage huh? I wonder what this photo of the day will cost me !

Day 71
I got this perfect yellow rose today and couldn't do anything other than photograph it as cleanly as possible. If it lasts I will try something with textures or macro tomorrow.

Day 68
I found this lovely beet at the grocery store yesterday and knew I wanted to photograph it using textures. I set it on the floor on a black cloth, spritzed it with some water and shot in natural light.

Day 64
I worked on dropping strawberries into milk for 2 hours this morning, and this is the best one. I just couldn't get it sharp like I see others do on Flickr . I don't know what the secret is. I used 2 flashes , one on each side and a white board in the background, don't really understand how it turned blue. I had to play around with the colors a lot because the strawberry was too dark and the water was blueish. Anyway I decided to post it today, rather than try something else , so as the year goes on I can revisit this and hopefully see a great improvement.
By the way it makes a HUGE mess, lots of clean up, and you have to clean off your lens after each drop. I went through a 1/2 gallon of milk.

No time to set anything up today, so I stopped on my way home and tried getting some car trails. To my delight a bus passed by and added some nice lines.
