Day 130

I was driving home to make a quick dinner dreading that I would also have to figure out what to take for my photo today. I stopped on a corner and shot these in a neighbor's yard, I really liked everything that was going on behind the flower the most.

Day 101

As I was driving to lunch today, this scene in someone's yard just jumped out at me. I took a U turn and pulled over on the side of the road. Something about the dark tree trunks and pink flowers on the pink magnolia tree was appealing. Of course now that the world by me is becoming green again sure helped.

Day 56

I set the flower in a 3 sided white poster board box and used one flash set to full power, camera left. I set the exposure manually to get a long shutter speed so I could zoom in to get this effect. I had the flash go off once when zoomed out and once again when I zoomed in on the flower in the same frame. I had to play around for quite awhile until I got the effect I was looking for.
